Overton Solutions
Overton Solutions is a sustainable, 21-acre organic farm and forest situated in rural Bath County, KY. The property contains approximately 15 acres of natural managed woodland with a 1.5-mile walking trail, a lake, a monarch butterfly waystation, seasonal organic vegetable garden, year-round greenhouse, apiary, chickens, ducks and turkeys.
The owner and manager of the property is Lisa Overton, a US Navy veteran, certified yoga teacher and yoga on a stand-up paddleboard instructor; certified KY Master Naturalist; member of the Bath County Farmer’s Market, member of OAK (The Organic Association of Kentucky), member of Kentucky Proud, Homegrown by Heroes, and Appalachia Proud; with five advanced degrees: MC, (Counseling); BA, (Criminal Justice); AA, (Real Estate and Business); and AS (Alcohol & Other Drug Studies).
Capitalizing on this eclectic background, Lisa is building a site where people can come to commune with nature, eat farm-to-fork food, practice yoga, and learn about the business of sustainable farming. To this end, she has labored in the forest, the garden and on the land.
Overton Solutions seeks to connect people with the natural world through experiences such as walking a nature trail though a Kentucky forest; learning stand-up paddleboarding in a natural-spring-fed lake; practicing yoga (on land or on a paddleboard); workshops on thriving and coping; observing sustainable farming practices; and interacting with the natural environment.
